2004-07-27 - 2:16 p.m. I have just recently realized, that, for the past 3 and half weeks, I have been sleeping exceptionally well. My wife noticed it first. One night she was burping again after chi kung practice when we were getting ready to sleep. I lied down while she sat up to finish burping. She said in less than two minutes, I was already sound asleep, virtually impossible for me to do before! I used to always take at least 10 minutes, sometimes 20-30 minutes before able to fall asleep no matter how tired I was. We also weighed ourselves lately. I have gained back 8-10 pounds since I got sick from a very bad flu end of last year. The biggest surprise, however, was with my wife. She has been underweight all her life despite her big appetite and plenty of quality sleep. Of the years that I've known her, she has never exceed X pounds. I shall keep X to myself. The last time we weighed ourselves, she has gained 6 pounds in only 4 months of chi kung practice! Recently, I've noticed a definite improvement to my overall well-being that is more consistent and lasting. I can now work all day on the computer and still go home without feeling lethargic. The most important is that I am able to work more productively now while staying relaxed and I even feel some of those very tedious things I do at work are enjoyable! I enjoyed my job before but there was fear and stress mixed in there always. I owe much of this to Sifu who has helped me to better let go and just enjoy everything.
