2004-08-04 - 1:35 p.m. last week, my boss asked how I was doing when he saw me looking kind of tired. I told him, "I'm doing better and better." He expressed his concern about me being ticked off for having recently gotten lots of bugs to fix with a tight deadline. I was surprised that I looked tired because I was feeling quite well. I told my boss that I have becamse perpetually optimistic. So far I have lived up to my claim pretty well without any conscious effort to do so. I feel that I'm now much more mentally relaxed and resilient than before. There were days that I felt lethargic after trying to track down a nasty bug without success for a whole day. I was surprised when I found myself "recovered" mentally after a relatively short time after work, like in an hour where in the past, it used to carry on throughout the rest of the evening.
